In this lesson you will learn about the importance of fluoride rinsing. You will complete an activity to demonstrate the process of tooth decay and learn how proper rinsing can help to prevent it.

Apple Activity: Students will need to take an apple and poke a hole in it. Explain that holes can form in the teeth if we don't take care of them by brushing and flossing daily and eating healthy foods. The hole in the apple represents a cavity. Place the apple on a counter for one week and record what happens to the apple. In a few sentences describe what happened to the apple and post to the discussion board in Wiki discussion board.
